What we do

If there is no RCD (FI-Schalter), if the old screw-in fuses are still in place, or if the fuses keep going, the consumer unit needs looking at. We install RCDs, replace breakers and renew consumer units completely, labelled and measured through.

Smaller jobs go at the fixed price from the list. For a complete consumer unit replacement we come and look first, and give you a written fixed price before we start.

  • Install or replace an RCD at a fixed price, with measurement

  • Replace circuit breakers, replace old screw-in fuses

  • Renew the consumer unit partly or completely, with labelling

  • Fault finding when fuses or the RCD keep tripping

  • Measurement record for you or the Hausverwaltung

Prices

Fixed prices for the work described, including 20 % VAT. If the situation on site turns out to be different, we say so before we start. The call-out is charged once per visit, anywhere in Vienna. Where a range is shown, the grey line says what moves it, and we name the fixed price after we have looked at the job.

All prices include 20 % VAT. Call-out anywhere in Vienna 69 €, once per visit. Small materials up to 10 € included.

Common questions

Why does the RCD keep tripping?

Usually an appliance is faulty, a washing machine, a boiler or an outdoor light for example, less often a damp back box or a damaged cable. We narrow the fault down systematically and fix it.

Is an RCD compulsory?

RCD protection is required for new installations and for substantially altered ones. Old flats often do not have it. Installing one costs 189 € including the measurement record, and it protects against electric shock.

How long does a consumer unit replacement take?

A flat consumer unit is usually done in a day. The power is off for several hours, and we tell you beforehand how long.
