What we do
Old aluminium cabling, too few sockets, no RCD protection, a consumer unit from the seventies. In many Vienna flats the electrics are the first thing that needs renewing in a renovation. We rewire completely, or renew specific rooms and circuits, flush mounted and to current standards.
After a site visit you get a written quote with a fixed price and a schedule. We coordinate with your decorators and plumbers, register changes at the meter position with Wiener Netze, and hand the installation over with an inspection report.
If it is only about the consumer unit, an RCD at 189 € or a single breaker, those fixed prices are on the fuse box and RCD page.

Fixed prices for the work described, including 20 % VAT. If the situation on site turns out to be different, we say so before we start. The call-out is charged once per visit, anywhere in Vienna. What the square metre price means for your flat
120 to 180 € per m² for a complete rewire. For three usual Vienna flat sizes that comes to these sums. We name the fixed price after the site visit.

The range is moved by wall construction, the number of outlets and the specification. Not included are Decorating, Light fittings. Single rooms are not billed by area, there is a separate price for that in the list.
How a renovation runs
Five stages. We come to the site twice, and in between the plasterer and the decorator work.
Site visit. We walk through the flat, note every outlet, and look at the meter position and the wall construction. Free if you go ahead, otherwise we charge the call-out.
Written quote with a fixed price. Within a few working days, with a schedule and a list of what goes where. Changes we discuss before the work starts, not on the site.
Chasing and cabling. The noisiest part, usually a few days. After that the flat is open and we register changes at the meter position with Wiener Netze.
Plastering, then fitting. After your plasterer and decorator we come back, fit switches, sockets and lights, and connect the consumer unit.
Handover with the inspection report. Measurement of every circuit, a labelled consumer unit, the report as a PDF and the documentation for the Hausverwaltung.
Common questions
What does a complete rewire of a flat cost?
In Vienna you can expect 120 to 180 € per m² for a standard flush-mounted specification. The fixed price depends on the layout, the wall construction and the specification, and is set in writing after the site visit.
How long does it take?
A 70 square metre flat usually takes one to two weeks for the electrical work, depending on scope, decorating aside. You get the schedule with the quote.
As a tenant, do I have to ask the landlord?
Yes, work on the fixed installation needs the consent of the landlord or the Hausverwaltung. We are happy to write the technical description for that request.
Do you handle the registration with Wiener Netze?
Yes. As a registered electrical business we register changes at the meter position or an increase in connected load with Wiener Netze, and see the meter change through.
